Pheromone Helps Improve Intimacy

A chemical substance that is produced naturally by an organism that is living is a Pheromone. Serving as a stimulus, this substance, once emitted, sends messages to individuals of the species that is the same for one behavioral response or more. It can benefit the person that secrets it in many ways.

A biologist specializing as a behavioral endocrinologist, Dr. Winifred Cutler, and her associates were the first to document the pheromone’s existence in humans. The study was initiated by them in the year 1986, and it was found that the said substance is only situated under our arms. They found out that when heavily smelling sweats are taken off of armpits, what is left over is a smell with pheromones.

Researchers have found a unique pheromone on males and females by performing more experiments in the time since pheromone has been revealed. Androstenone is the pheromone of the males, and Androstenol is the pheromone of the females. Even if the pheromones pertain to either sex, the results are similar.

During the time a pheromone is let go from sweat glands, the pheromone will create a very soft scent that can be discovered by the Vomeronasal Organ (VNO), what is called the Jacobson’s organ, found in the nose. Triggering many responses, signals are still transmitted to the brain, even though pheromones are not consciously detected as odors.

It has been shown that pheromones or androstenones produced by men have a psychological and physiological effect on females. A study that examines the results of women who are exposed to male sweat. Volunteers that were male were gathered and given instructions to use soaps that had no scent when showering, and to not use deodorant for a four week period.

The researchers took perspiration from the underarms of people and mixed it together. The extracts are mixed with each other to make the reactions of the people generic rather than commenting on unique smells of men that volunteer. Women ages 23-40 were given these extracts under their nose. The women rated their mood according to a scale after they had been exposed for six hours. The subjects, sure enough, feel more relaxed and have less stress, as their moods are uplifted, with male pheromone exposure. Neither of the female participants were aware that they were exposed to male perspiration instead of alcohol or cologne.

According to Doctor Winifred Cutler, sexual attractants known as pheromones increase the sexual attractiveness of people who wear them.

It has been proven by scientists that the same effects of pheromones are caused on humans that are employed by animals for the attraction of mates. The romantic feelings and sex appeal is elevated, and additionally the sexual responsiveness of the opposite sex is heightened. It can also help improve intimacy, by building the necessary trust in a relationship and instilling calm.
